Collaborative Video Game Project – Level Design & 3D Assets
Target Audience: Children ages 9 – 13
Tales of Jasper is a collaborative video game project that was developed as a playable prototype for young kids. The project’s objective was to create a visually engaging game world that would support both exploration and storytelling through the environment design.
I contributed to both the conceptual and technical stages of the development of this project, which included:
First sketches and visual exploration of the level design.
Whitebox of the game level to define the layout and scale.
Designing the low-poly props in Blender.
Importing the assets into Unity.
Prototype testing using a teammate’s character model.
Collaboration
Tales of Jasper was developed in close collaboration with two other teammates. It required constant communication between the design, modeling and the actual gameplay. Feedback from the prototype helped us improve the layout and the asset placement. It’s a project we’re really proud of.
