New Website Campaign: "Accept Cookies" Video Project
Project Overview
Role: Digital Communication Coordinator
Campaign: UNITEC New Website Launch
As part of UNITEC’s new website launch campaign (an update on the website), I edited a comedic short-form video designed to introduce the updated website in a more engaging and shareable way. The concept used a lighthearted take on accepting a website’s cookies, turning a routine digital interaction into relatable social media content.
My role included shaping the video’s narrative and comedic timing, editing the final piece, and adapting it for short-form social platforms.
Objective & Concept
The objective was to promote UNITEC’s newly launched website in a way that felt engaging and native to social media rather than relying on a traditional announcement.
I edited a comedic concept around the familiar experience of accepting website cookies, using humor and a relatable digital interaction to introduce the new site. The video was designed with a quick hook, simple narrative, and fast-paced editing to encourage views, engagement, and shares across Instagram and TikTok.
Software & Technical Skills
Skills applied:
Project coordination, video editing, content publishing.
Reflection & Results
The campaign showed how a simple website update could become engaging social content when approached with humor and a platform-first mindset. The video reached 53.8K views and 1,845 likes on Instagram, alongside 27.4K views and 1,662 likes on TikTok.
This project strengthened my ability to turn institutional messages into relatable, entertaining content while balancing brand communication with current social media formats and audience behavior.
